Saturday it was 40 degrees and sunny, so of course we had to barbeque. (hello-crazy? yes.) The earlier part of the day was spent with the Kegz family. The older kids romped in the backyard and the playground, while little baby A seemed unimpressed by the sunlight. Miss D took a giant tumble and apparently landed on her face, cracking her sunglasses and giving her some rather spectacular bruises.
Mr. and Mrs. H came by in the evening where we spent more time outside pretending it was warmer than it was. Then the gents attempted to cook food on the grill. Some was successful and others had to be finished in the oven.
Sunday morning, on the Skype with my parents, my mom mentioned the zoo and that was the end of it for that day. It was cold (37) and misty, sprinkly so there was no one there which was very nice. Miss D and I had a fabulous time just the two of us. Her favorite part was seeing a cow take a poo.

Actually that is a pretty good time to go to the zoo. It can get quite busy and crowded. Good for you braving the weather. Gotta figure out this skype thing.....
where does she get it, I wonder? Probably both her parents... :)
I wish we had a video of Miss D totally ignoring the conversation's attempts to engage here until the magical word "zoo" was mentioned with instantaneous results...very funny.
