Digital Reader

I saw a guy on the train with one of these today. SO COOL. Particularly as I was lugging my giant Taylor Branch book around, taking up 3/4 of the available space in my bag.

A little out of my price range for now, but I can't wait until they are affordable! Actually this would be the perfect gift for every single member of my family.

Amazon has the Kindle readers back in stock. $400, so not cheap.

That's an interesting product. With "only" thousands of titles available, I wonder how quickly new books are thrown onto the system? Then you buy the book electronically instead of in paper......hmmmm, saves trees. Could be marketed as "Green". The memory seems light though. Hopefully the price of the books you buy is lower than normal too, since there are no printing costs! It could technically pay for itself depending on how much you read.

joe, there are a ton of free-source books available now, ones who have fallen into common domain so you don't have to worry about copyright.

I bet the libraries are gettin' in on this too. WEll, I hope.
