Selfless

Right now, as I write this, my father is in Hartford, Connecticut. Under the knife. He is somewhere in the process of giving his kidney to his sister.

I haven't written about it earlier, because it was not really my topic to write about. He writes about his decision and the donation process eloquently in a series of posts on his blog starting here.

He has entered this life adventure as he does everything: with grace, humility, appreciation and above all, humor. I am very lucky to have him in my life and I am grateful for it.

So if you have any good thoughts to spare today, please send them to my father and my aunt.

I just spoke with Mom and everything seems to be going smooth so far! Once this day is over and all is well, excessive amounts of alcohol to be consumed.

C'mon Tim, you'd be consuming excessive amounts of alcohol regardless....that's nothing new!

Keep the updates coming!!
