For the past two days I have been incessantly listening to Interpol’s first album. I have had it for years but never really played it out for myself when I first got it. They are the kind of band whose music I always enjoy but have never felt the need to buy more of (subsequent albums sound similar), nor did I feel I needed to listen to it over and over and yet- here I am. When it starts to repeat I try to switch on something else but than I realize that all I am thinking about is Obstacle 2 so I might as well just put it on again.
Have you ever re-discovered a CD in your collection like this? What was the last one?

I haven't, but if I did, it would be Boston's Boston album or Third Stage, released in 1986. Loved them both!
Since I got an iPod (I just typed that word three different ways - why do we allow capitalization in the middle of a word?), I've rediscovered lots of my albums. Current rediscovered favorites: the muppet movie soundstrack and Anonymous Four singing Hildegard of Bingen (liturgical music of the 12th century). Go figure.
I found a cd in my car the other day, fortunately I left my ipod on the charger so I can rock out to the mysterious cd, U2 Pop, lol!!!
BTW, the radio stations in ABQ suck!! AM is better..
I am constantly rediscovering albums. Often I sit on one until the appropriate time comes for me to enjoy it. Last one was Hot Hot Heat, and I've been on a Madonna kick for a week now.
