Off to OH

Tomorrow morning I set off at 6AM for Cincinnati to participate in the political process for the first time in my life. One of my bandmates has become increasingly politically active over the years. He has visited several states nearby including WI and IN and his tales all mention how well organized the campaign is and how easy it is to participate.

The past two presidential elections i have sat idly by and then been shocked and horrified by the results. This year is the first time I feel really passionate about a candidate and I felt that I really couldn't live with myself if I didn't do something tangible other than casting my vote.

So off I head for a 5-6 hour drive tomorrow with two dudes. I'm imagining a fair amount of gas passed and hoping for a minimum of sports-related conversation.

I hope that you have a wonderful experience with this, your first major political foray. I've never regretted my own involvement, and don't imagine that you will either.
