A Tale of Morning

After an adventurous night of attempting to sleep without the aid of medication, I awoke to find my eyes glued shut. I managed to navigate my way down the stairs and down the hall to the kitchen and to turn the water on without injury. As I waited for it to get hot, the snot that had been welling in my sinuses all night burst forth in a mighty sneeze….and I peed myself a little. Finally I was able to steam open my eyeballs and get in the shower. Whereupon Husband awakened and determined that he was nauseous, no doubt due to the mucus now flowing out of his sinuses and into his stomach. Which meant that I drove Miss D to school solo this morning, where she cried when I left. Then I parked the car and got on the packed brown line and then the equally packed red line until I finally got to work a mere 20 minutes late.

Also-
I lost my voice last night. Not husky deep gone- GONE gone. Like if you are not watching my lips when I talk you have no idea what I’m saying.

Also-
I have a giant zit in my right ear. It is painful.

Your pain is our gain. That was a very funny narration. Sorry to hear about the shittiness.

You too, huh? Actually, it sounds like you guys got hit harder, but Jonas and Ellie have both had colds and for the last couple days have been hoarse. Lisa

You should be so proud you made it to work at all! I brought my box of tissues with me to work yesterday, but am still able to talk. Hope the family is feeling better soon!

...and then the ground opened up in front of me and Satan jumped up, took one look at me, laughed and said,

"I'm not taking you to a better place!"

One week you're drinking Mimosas with Mickey and Minnie, the next, you're a bubbling pot of mucus and pus. The world makes no sense.

Get well soon, Shats.

You poor thing!! That's awful. I fight my sinuses every day of the year, so I feel your pain.....though it's not as bad as you have it now. Ugh.
