A couple of weeks ago, blogger buddy Joe started on an experiment based on a study he read. The study indicated that people who think of 5 things they are grateful for every day are happier than those who focus on other things. So on a regular basis he has been listing 3 things he feels grateful for at the bottom of his blog posts.
I have been meaning to try this myself for a while now, although I have been feeling oddly optimistic and hopeful for the future lately anyway. But who knows? Maybe I will be setting myself up with a reserve for when the car bill finally arrives. ha ha. (Still no word yet, as the rental car bill continues to grow....)
Three things I am grateful for:
- My family's continued good health (minor ailments notwithstanding)
- Getting a ride to and from work in the snowy winter cold. (SO much nicer than the bike or train!)
- Satellite radio in the rental car. I didn't realize how much I missed it when we downgraded our television package! So much new music to enjoy....

What a great idea! I think that's something I'm going to have to try, as I could use a little kick in the behind to remember all the things we are lucky for!
I try to remind myself of all the good things in life I have whenever I feel bad, like when I get caught (again) in the rain
Yay!! Good for you. It does give you a nice little 5-10 minutes a day where you think about the positive things in your life. I'm enjoying it.
Don't tell if I steal some of yours!!
