Currently Coveting (But will never, ever get)
I recently read a blog post at a fashion blog I frequent that talked about saving your style dollars up for really nice pieces that you would wear forever, instead of purchasing all those amazing sale items that you may only wear once or twice.
If were ever able to scrounge $625 (which will be never) I would get these:

I buy into that, but clearly my interpretation of "really nice pieces that you wear forever" is different than yours. Just this morning I was thinking about what a good purchase my wool overcoat was - $100 and it has lasted me eight years and looks as good as new.
OMG....those are freaking awesome. I'd almost be willing to buy everyone woman I have to look at on any given day, a pair of those boots. Almost....
lol - we need to get you into a cheaper obsession! Have you tried knitting? Not only is it "fashionably uncool" now, it also means you can make stuff like a scarf for me... er I mean yourself eventually.
Lex- i have been thinking about taking up sewing. (Except I don't have a machine.) Just what I need- another half-assed hobby!
