Battle of Wills - In Conclusion

Thanks so much to everyone who took the time to comment on yesterday's post. I really needed all the encouragement, sympathy and commiseration. ;)

And now for the exciting conclusion....

First, Husband texted me at 4pm to tell me he was now a LEED AP!!!! (He passed the test). He took the news about the car much better than expected. (I am to help him clean it off when he next washes the car).

When we got to school, the very first thing Miss D did was run to her cubby and hand me this note (written with the assistance of her teacher):

I don't like it when you carry me to the car. I wanted a vitamin and I wanted it so bad but I couldn't have it in the morning. I didn't like that.

Sorry for throwing my lightening.

I love you. - Miss D

Which made my heart grow 3 sizes that day. She seemed very satisfied to have expressed herself to us. Now whether or not she understands the whole actions and consequences thing is left to be seen, but maybe it was for the best to have a 3rd, neutral party step in at that time. Just one of the many reasons I really like her preschool.....

Awww...that almost made me cry. And you even got an apology - what a mature thing for her to do! Lisa

How sweet! So glad the test was passed and the end of the day was much better than the beginning. Last night both kids were crying, dinner was yet to be made, and J was getting his hair cut so I was on my own. Later we were all snuggling on the couch. Ah, the ups and downs of parenthood!

Wow, what an absolutely terrific preschool!

That really seems above and beyond the call of duty for preschool to do. And so neat of her to be able to express feelings like that. No wonder your heart was swollen.
