I've been having a week where it's been very difficult to stay motivated at work. For one thing, it's sort of settled down so I'm just doing a lot of monontonous tasks. For another, the weather has actually been temperate and mildly sunshiny. (Although that is supposed to change today)
What do you do when you feel like this? I was imagining it must be even worse for the SAHM & D's - there is really no escape for you!

I have two methods for dealing with work that I don't want to do. The first is to procrastinate - find other tasks at work that need to be done but that I don't hate quite as much. Eventually I still have to do the boring stuff, but by then I've accomplished a lot. The other is a very detailed reward system.
I hope it gets better soon! I'm doing work right now that isn't boring, but it's work that I'm not very good at, which presents me with a different set of problems.
Are you riding your bike to work yet/still?
I surf the hell out of the net when I'm bored!!
I read people's blogs...
I have a much easier time being at home because I don't feel as trapped. I actually got "warned" once when I was a research analyst about going outside for lunch. I was supposed to eat in the conference room with my co-workers. But now, I can just get out whenever. Lisa
My boss is a slave driver. The minute I think about not working, she makes a capital expenditure and adds it to my lifetime buyout amount on my contract.
go for walks at lunch to enjoy the weather
