Thanks to all who commented on my last post. One of the reasons i am so happy I started this blog is getting to reach out to so many good people at once! ;)
I guess a lot of you know me better than I thought as i got a number of inquiries about whether or not we were moving to CA. And to be honest, at the beginning of last week that was a real consideration. But as we discussed it further, we realized that we would have had to move immediately what with the timing of the baby and the time of year likelihood of finding a renter or buyer for our house....so we are holding off for the moment.
The catalyst for all this is that Husband has also lost his source of steady income.
It was a stressful and emotionally exhausting week but the upshot is that Husband is getting ready to start his own business. He is getting lots of help and is positioned as positively as possible at this stage in the game so there is every reason to believe that the financial future will be bright.
It is kind of amazing that after a year of worrying everything should befall us in the same month. But isn't crisis what instigates change? Having nothing to lose makes it a lot easier to take risks.

I think hubs getting out of that funny farm is really for the best. He will do well.

I am going to mail you that list of addresses tonight!
Wow. What business is he starting up? I'm not sure how moving to California would help anything, so that would be interesting to hear your thoughts there. The cost of living there is twice what it is here. Maybe there's hubby family there. There certainly aren't more jobs.
Yes, Husband's family is there. And especially with 2 kids- we could really use the help! But yes job wise and expenses wise it's no help. But at least now we have nothing to lose by going!
And you come from a family full of useful business knowledge. Here's wishing you lots of luck!
Sending positive vibes your way!! I certainly know the feeling of when it rains it pours *sigh* Isn't it wonderful to have grown up under such powerful examples resilience & reinvention! :)
