Miss Dukes came back from her trip with two new sleep habits.
One is that she was 100% ready and excited to make the move into her big girl bed, which has been standing on end in our guest room for about 6 months.
The second is that she is now afraid of the dark. (Our first night at Grandma and Grandpas she was sleeping on a mattress on the ground. Some time in the middle of the night I found her whimpering in the hallway. She must have woken up and not known where she was- poor little Dukes!)
We got home too late on Monday to take down the crib so last night was the first night in the BGB. Hoo boy it took a while to get her to stay in it. I'm not sure if it was because she has been going to bed so late (Damn you west coast time zone!), the newness/excitement of the new bed, or if she was scared. Everytime I got up she kept saying "Don't leave Mom! I'm Happy now. I'm not crying anymore."
Osh. just thinking about it breaks my heart all over again.

OMG, that almost made ME cry!! Thank God I'm a child-cynic. Ha!!
I remember being scared like that of strange things. There used to be a particular temperature at night that would get to me...
Time zones in the US are more annoying than anything. It's like, oh, just a wee bit later/earlier than I'm used to. Like getting tapped incessantly versus one big smack.
Oh you Mom you :)
So, did she stay in the BGB all night?
