Checking it Twice

At the beginning of my self-makeover I made a list of clothing items I wanted to purchase to fill out my wardrobe. The idea being that I would carry it around with me when i went shopping and would remember to be on the lookout for these things. I was going through my unposted entries and found it this morning. Amazingly, I have actually obtained most of the things i was looking for on this list. A few things I no longer desire (oversized sweaters) others I have been on the hunt for but still haven't found (cool blazer, wide leg pants). Of course, I now have other things I covet so I probably should update this list. For weeks i have been seriously jonesing for some high, round collared victorian-y blouses, preferably in jewel tones. I need one to wear under the attractive but itchy low-cut wool dress that Husband bought me. Plus I think they will just be fun for spring with skirts.

If you want to make your own list, I suggest starting with items in your wardrobe that you don't wear. What do you need that would make that item wearable? Pants of a certain color you don't own? A nubby cardigan? You can also take ideas from what other people wear and add them to the list. Or of course from style or fashion websites and magazines. Focused shopping makes such a difference!
