Although there has been some swiss chard, fennel and ground cherries- in the past week the garden has really started to explode. This was our first pick of tomatoes and a pepper. The large mottled tomato is a purple-something-or-other. The small green tomatoes are meant to be green (salad green to be precise) When I get a bunch I want to make fried green tomatoes! of course some of us just like to eat them out of hand like an apple...
