I didn't want to post pics from the bowling party as they include a lot of other people's children whose permission I don't have- but I will tell you that it was a success!
A bit like herding cats.
But the kids were fully entertained for the duration of the party. The parents were all very involved and helpful. Eventually one dad hit on the key which probably would have made the first hour more enjoyable. He had them line up right behind each other and take turns rolling the ball down. He realized that they didn't really care what happened at the end. They just wanted to roll the ball. This was not duck-pin bowling so the balls were pretty heavy (7-9 lbs). But somehow, no one got hurt.
Since the kids were little I didn't have to pay for shoes so the whole party was pretty cost effective in the end. The people running the alley were also very nice and understanding of the children. Miss D had a very enjoyable birthday and that was the most important part!

Yes, it's amazing that Jonas did not break his foot with his drop-kick bowling method. Thanks - we had a great time! Lisa
that was definitely one of the funniest things that happened!
Wait, no bowling shoes? Just lining up and bowling? I'm assuming no beer? A bastardization of the once proud game. I'm appalled. :-)
Glad it was successful!!!
Theme song -
Bowl on Columbia bowl on...
At a minimum, I expected a picture of the bowling pin cookie cake.
Definitely chaos, but the kids had a great time. I'll be bringing Charlie back for more.
J- we are so lame! I didn't even get a good pic of it.
Someday I can show you how to blur photos so that you can see what's going on but not identify the people in the photo (I do this for work).... but you probably don't care THAT much.
Sounds like fun.
We sure had a good time! The kids with their bowling balls were so cute.
omg, no picture of the cake??
