Wolves

I think I forgot to mention that my IL's are in town. Sunday we all went to the Allstate Arena for Miss D's very first professional sporting event: minor league hockey.

She got her face painted with a pink wolf. Was amazed by the venue and the fireworks and explosions. (Although not a fan of the flaming paws that made her face too hot) She was excited to see the guys slam into the glass about a foot away ("Woh!"- we had 2nd row corner seats, so there was a lot of slamming)She was thrilled when one of the referees waved back at her. She ate her weight in cotton candy and popcorn. And she instantly fell asleep the second she was in her car seat.

I've been wondering if she was old enough to take to a baseball game this year, but I think if we do we will be better served going to a minor league game. She did get bored eventually.

3 Things:
- genuinely liking your in-laws
- milkshakes
- a roof over my head (particularly when it is snowing!)

and baseball can be sooo much more boring than hockey!

Who wouldn't be happy eating their own weight in cotton candy?

Sweet! What great seats! Yeah, a lot more action that close with hockey than upper deck seats at a baseball game. I'd pick and choose events carefully. What a nice ref!!!

Yeah how many times does the first baseman whack the runner into the first row seats :)

Say hi to the in-laws from Mums and I.
