It is 9AM and my daughter is still asleep.
It started over the weekend. She woke up at 4:30AM and i put her back to bed and she slept till 10! Monday she slept till 9:30 (I woke her up). Yesterday and toay she woke up at 6:30 Am and asked to come in our bed. I let her sleep with us yesterday and we were up at 7:30. Today i put her back in her own bed and she is still sleeping. She has been going to bed at her normal time. And nothing else has changed.
Of course, i cannot just sit back an be grateful and appreciative at this turn of events. Instead i am worried that she is ill or something else sinister is at work.
She HAS pretty much stopped taking naps. Ever. Even at school. - So that could be a factor
She HAS had a cold for the past two weeks, which has reduced to a lingering cough mostly in the morning and at night for the past week- So that could be a factor (no other symptoms though)
She could be going through a growth spurt?

It's probably a combination of all of the above! Enjoy some quiet time while you can.

Hard to tell what's going on, but my theory is, if a kid wants to sleep, then let them. I really am not a big fan of our school's 7:50 to 8:00am drop off. It's too early! Lisa
