I see my weekend round-up post is not interesting enough to invite comment from you folk. Message received! I'll try to keep it more bikers-legs and bread around here and less what's up with my life. (grumble, grumble)

Did I mention that Husband and I are leaving the country for a child-free vacation in a few weeks? We can hardly believe it either. My ILs are coming to town to spoil the Dukes and no doubt do many things to our house whilst Husband and I are in sunny, sunny Europe.

We are visiting Amsterdam for 7 days, staying in the abode of the lovely Alexis in Amsterdam. (She will be in Chicago! Yes it is all very amusing and, as I hasten to point out at every opportunity, all her fault) Actually, it looks as if I will be dining with her and Dad on Wednesday and I will pick up her keys then. She returns to Amsterdam the day before we leave and we'll hang out that day too. That's all jet-lag goodness both ways! Woot! Luckily, my sis is of such a sweet and gentle nature it probably not effect her at all. (Last line should be read with a modicum of sarcasm)

We then jaunt to Glasgow (Where they do not take the Euro, and the exchange rate is double! *shakes fist*) to enjoy those Scottish nuptuals you may have heard about round these parts. (Invitation was responded to btw.) Followed by a 2-day stint in Dublin, purely because the Irish airline offered us the best deal over there, and since we were flying out of there...why not? No doubt their nefarious purpose anyway....

We will be traveling econo-style which I'm actually pretty excited about. We won't be travelling anywhere in Holland we can't get to by bike (ok, maybe a short train ride) and we won't be pressured to be trying to visit every country in the near vicinity. Maybe we'll even relax?!You never know....

I agree. Enjoy it. These things hare hard to come by during the child rearing years. Big applauds to A & S for providing the help.

See, now there's a post worthy of commenting! Jk!! Everything you write is fun!

I was wondering about your trip though since I knew about the Scotland and Amsterdam portions. Sounds awesome. The relaxing nature sounds very, very good.

Oh man, below-the-belt! And taking unfair advantage of the time-difference. :) JK, but I'd be careful when you follow all those "maps" I'll be leaving you at the apt...

Sounds like so much fun. Enjoy yourself. And I sympathize with the pound/dollar exchange rate. I still can't get over how much money we blew through in England.
