Style Journey- Day 5 (Adventures in Layering)

Apologies to all of you that are sick of this.

I have sort of a weird face in this pic but I thought it was the best one of the ensemble. The unused piece I was working in was the vest. I've had said vest since the last time vests were in, sometime in the 90's, but it never saw a lot of use. I was also pleased to use the blue shirt (third layer). I bought it at target and haven't been super successful wearing it as a stand alone piece. (It's fairly sheer and kinda lump-hugging) But I think it worked great as a layering base. I am really happy with this outfit! My favorite thing is that I have no unsightly lumpings. I felt pretty attractive all day. I do wish I had got a pic of it at work where I was wearing loafer-style pumps and faux fishnets which I think looked better than the boots. I also think this is really leaning toward the look I wish to cultivate. Sort of a retro-y HOT librarian/schoolmarm look

Of course if you can look past the super hot outfit for a moment you may notice my exciting news of the day. I chopped my hair! I think I like it, although the styling is a little less edgy than I would prefer. We'll see what happens when I style it myself for the first time. Unfortunately due to a scheduling snafu I was unable to get it colored same day. But magically- my current color doesn't look that bad. In fact it's pretty cool in the back:

You have a week to enjoy it.

Stef, I love ya like a sister, but I have to be honest and say I'm not into the vest. The outfit without the vest would look great though!

What do I know? I'm just a guy.

Glad you're happy with the haircut though! That's always an iffy proposition.

You need to pass on this style adventure to your lovely sister, Lisa...I personally think the vest is super hot..! I am sure glad I kept my clothing from back in the day, it's all coming back in style, rock on Steph!

I love the shirts! I have no opinion about the vest and loooove the new haircut.

ohhh, this is the last entry, boo! Well, then. I TOTALLY applaud this effort. You definitely behave differently when you dress differently. People have known this for ages, which is why powerful folks try to differentiate themselves (rome reserving the color purple for royalty, feathers for the kings of hawaii..)

I definitely like this look (though as your father saying I like the "sort of hot school marm look seems a bit perverted). I kind of like the boots but I have a thing for boots.

I love the haircut! Very sharp, and it looks easy to do.
