Music Time

Wowzers, it looks like Civil Servant may have it's first show next Wednesday! I'll update with details when/if it's confirmed.

In the meanwhilst, Husband and I bought a bunch of music last weekend and I have to share.

The Teenagers
are a French smart-ass synth-pop band. A simple google search will lead you to their single "Homecoming" which is hilarious and catchy, but my favorite on the album right now is "Streets of Paris". First listen to the album made me giggle. But the infectious music makes it easy to listen too and I feel they have a little empathy for the subjects they lampoon.

Santogold gets compared to a lot of different artists. T-Bag thought she sounded like Missing Persons, she has also been compared to M.I.A. and the Pixies. What can I say? She's my age and she rocks. "L.E.S Artistes" is the big single. Here's one of my favorites "I'm a Lady"

I guess you can see I'm in an 80's pop sort of mood these days. But the summer just screams dance music don't you think?
